Medication Package
Pharmaceutical packaging design, where regulatory legibility sets the constraints before any visual decision.
Overview
Pharmaceutical packaging design, where regulatory legibility sets the constraints before any visual decision.
Vision
Medication packaging is the one category where design is genuinely subordinate. Dosage, warnings, batch and expiry have mandated positions and minimum sizes, and a mistake is not a brand problem. The design works within that: the compliance layer is placed first and the brand is built in the space that remains. Colour is used to separate variants and strengths, so the distinction a pharmacist or patient needs to make quickly is carried by the fastest-read property on the box.
Results
Mandatory information sits where it is required and stays legible at the sizes specified. Variants are distinguishable at a glance in a cabinet, which is where the confusion this packaging has to prevent actually happens.
